A.S. Kovalenko, M.O. Morgunova, V.V. Gribkovskaia. INFRASTRUCTURAL SYNERGY OF THE NORTHERN SEA ROUTE IN THE INTERNATIONAL CONTEXT
In this paper, we would like to draw your attention to the necessity of looking for infrastructural synergy of the Northern Sea Route (NSR). By that we mean an integrated development of the sea and in-land transport routes, transport hubs, supporting infrastructure, and also the necessity of these for the Arctic region’s socio-economic development. Thus, we pay much attention to the existing and the upcoming transport and infrastructure projects, international cooperation, and Arctic and non-Arctic countries’ strategy directions related to the NSR. We conclude by discussing the meaning of the synergetic development of the NSR based on the existing challenges and opportunities.
