E.A. Telegina. ROLE AND POSITION OF BUSINESS EDUCATION IN THE SYSTEM FOR TRAINING MODERN ENERGY MARKET MANAGERS
The article focuses on the effect of energy market transformation on the re-examination of successful business adaptation to changing external conditions and the need for modifying the traditional business education system in response to new conditions and challenges. The paper reviews a successful experience of teaching oil and gas top management under the «Oil and Gas business Management» MBA Program implemented by the International School of Business at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. It emphasizes the importance of promoting fresh approaches to the development of new ways of thinking among middle and top managers so that they can evaluate risks, find best solutions for their reduction and identify strategic options. Significant attention is paid to enhancing personal creativity of trainees that helps creating a highly professional environment of new-generation managers.
