Yu.N. Bulatov, A.V. Kryukov, A.V. Cherepanov. ELECTRICITY QUALITY IN HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRIC NETWORKS FEEDING TRACTIVE SUBSTATIONS OF THE TRANS-SIBERIAN RAILWAY
The article presents the results of studies aimed at solving the problems of increasing the quality of electricity in networks adjacent to traction substations of the Trans-Siberian Railway. In view of the significant volume of the sharply variable, non-linear and single-phase traction load, as well as the reduced level of short-circuit capacity at the points of connection of individual traction substations, the electrical power quality indicators in these networks far exceed the permissible limits. Based on the results obtained, technical solutions have been proposed that allow to bring the indicators of the quality of electricity to the normative values. Because of the large amount of investments, it is necessary to implement a targeted program to address the large-scale problem of improving the quality of electricity in electric networks adjacent to the traction substations of the main AC railroads.
Key words: power supply systems of railways, quality of electric power, intelligent control technologies.
