The fuel supply situation in the Sakha Republic (Yakutiya) is studied in the retrospective five-year timespan. Performance features of fuel supply systems in towns and villages are identified along with changes in the patterns of heat and fuel consumption for heat supply purposes. Main problems in the heat supply sector are determined. Priority development and modernization fields are stated for the republic’s heat supply sector in accordance with med-term heat consumption forecasts obtained taking into account industrial facilities to be built and increasing residential area provided with hot water supply and heating. Heat energy production in the mid-term is forecasted for the region with an optimal heat production pattern determined based on perspectives for future development.
